How to join / crochet granny squares together II

I posted a first option on how to sew granny squares together.

Here's other options to join your granny squares: the first with slip stitch, the second with single crochet. Choose the one you think it's best for yout work!

WITH SLIP STITCH

Joining motif edges by slip stitching them together with a crochet hook makes a firm seam with an attractive ridge on the right side.
Lay the motifs out as above and work tthe horizontal seams first. Place the first two motifs together, wrong sides facing, and work a row of slip stitch through both loopsof each motif.

When you reach the corner, align the next two motifs, carry the yarn firmly across and join them together the same way. Continue joining motifs along the row the same way, keeping your tension even.
Secure the yarn ends carefully, then repeat until all the horizontal edges of the motifs are joined.

Turn the work so the remaining edges of the work are horizontal. Work in the same way as above. When working the corners carry the yarn firmly across the ridges.

WITH SINGLE CROCHET

Single crochet can also be used to join edges together, and it makes a strong but rather bulky and thick seam. Work as for slip stitch joins but place the motifs Right Sides together and work rows of single crochet through both loops of the crochet edge.
