How to make Crab Stitch

Crab stitch - reverse single crochet - is used for a simple edging and adds a very interesting extra to the work.

Unlike most other crochet techniques, this stitch is worked from left to right along the row.

Keeping the yarn at the back of the work, insert the hook from front to back into the next stitch.

Wrap the yarn over the hook and draw the loop through from back to front so there are now two loops on the hook.

Wrap the yarn over the hook, then draw the yarn through both loops to complete the stitch.
